Brillen Weltweit is a non-profit organisation based in Koblenz, Germany. For many years, it has been collecting and refurbishing used glasses to distribute them worldwide – especially in places where access to eye care cannot be taken for granted.
The organisation works with local partners, eye clinics, and aid agencies in over 50 countries. On site, the donated glasses are individually fitted and given free of charge to people with visual impairments – often allowing someone to see clearly for the first time in their life.
The glasses are inspected, cleaned and measured in Koblenz
Intact glasses are passed on
Damaged glasses are repaired or recycled
With your help, an old pair of glasses becomes a new outlook for someone else.
