Kapten & Son

Digital accessibility

Maybe you asked yourself exactly that question when you noticed our logo without the anchor on your product. Perhaps you were initially surprised and wondered: “Hmm? Is this a faulty product?” Actually, there’s no need to worry — and we can reassure you right away: your product is in perfect condition and delivers the same quality and functionality you’re used to.

Kapten & Son is all about experiences – and we believe everyone should be able to enjoy them equally. Whether it’s our online shop or social media, on a phone, tablet, or desktop: no one should be left out.

That’s why we’re continuously working to make our digital platforms, systems, and services more accessible – for an experience that is inclusive, intuitive, and inspiring. Our goal is to provide all users – including people with disabilities – with unrestricted access to our brand.

As part of our commitment, we’re currently implementing the requirements of the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) and its associated regulation (BFSGV), which will come into effect on June 28, 2025. In doing so, we follow the harmonized EU standards for accessibility, specifically EN 301 549, which refers to the global Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

At Kapten & Son, people are at the heart of everything we do – and that includes how we use technology. Our aim: a consistently positive experience for everyone.

Your feedback matters.
If you encounter any accessibility barriers on our digital platforms, we’d love to hear from you:
